Robert Porr’s experience in healthcare contains multiple healthcare industry roles; clinical, trustee leadership, executive management, marketing and consulting. He marketed cardiovascular devices and prosthetic heart valves for Edwards Life Sciences. He led GNYHA Consulting’s medical record review offering. Prior to joining BDO’s Center for Healthcare Excellence, he was SVP for Sandlot Solutions a provider of interoperable solutions for Electronic Health and Medical records. Bob was responsible for the development and delivery of health analytics for fraud, waste, and abuse at Accenture to state health agencies after serving as National Sales Director for Thomson Reuters Healthcare, now IBM Watson Health Analytics. Currently, Bob leads Furnace Brook HealthCare Management Advisors, LLC providing advisory and software services to industry and providers for HIPAA / Privacy, enterprise-wide compliance program assessments, design, management, and effectiveness.
Highly decorated in the NY Air Guard and USAF Medical Service Corps, he was honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. A career highlighted by serving as the Deputy Commander of the USAF 447th Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron, Baghdad, and responding to the World Trade Center attack by supporting operations as the Air National Guard Liaison to the NYC Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management.
He served for eight years as a trustee of the Board of Directors, Bon Secours Charity Health System and Hudson Health Partners, a strategic alliance of five health systems. In 2011, Robert was elected President of the NY Society for Health Planning.
In 2005 Bob received the Senior Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives, and inducted into the Commission of Independent Colleges and Universities Alumni Hall of Distinction in 2008.
His academic credentials include an MBA in Management from Baruch College; a Master of Science in Jurisprudence from Seton Hall University Law School in health law and compliance; and a BA from Marymount Manhattan College.
Ben Antonecchia, DDS, FAGD joins the team of Furnace Brook HealthCare Management Advisors from a distinguished career in private practice, academia, and the United States Air Force Dental Corps. After graduating the Columbia University School of Dentistry, Dr. Antonecchia joined the USAF Dental Service where he practiced general dentistry on active duty and then to New York’s Air Guard where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Colonel. His highly decorated military career spanned over 30 years where his clinical skills were utilized for humanitarian deployments, leadership as Commander of the 105th Medical Group and 447th EMEDS in Baghdad, Iraq.
His contributions in academia and private practice are notable as well; Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at New York University Dental School; over 20 years as a solo, private practitioner in Scarsdale, NY; and finally, as the Dental Director for Dimensional Management Company where he managed a large practice consisting of general practitioners, specialists, hygienists, and administrative staff in excess of 25 personnel. This team outperformed corporate revenue, margin, quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction expectations consistently exceeding all state, local, and federal requirements.
Dr. Antonecchia works with professional staffs to ensure clinical and treatment plan documentation is accurate, appropriate, and meets treatment standards. He is experienced in assisting with the design of guidelines for practice oversight and compliance with regulatory requirements that will positively affect patient outcomes and practice profitability.
